About US

Founded in 1897, the Zionist Organization of America (“ZOA”) is the oldest pro-Israel organization in the United States. With offices around the country and in Israel, the ZOA is dedicated to educating the public, elected officials, media, and college/high school students about Israel.

The Zionist Organization of America-Michigan Region is at the forefront of the fight against anti-Israel and anti-Semitic sentiment on campus in the media and Capitol Hill. At ZOA, we work relentlessly to:

  • Strengthen the relationship between the U.S. and Israel and to fight threats against Israel’s legitimacy.

  • Fight anti-Semitism on campus and around the nation, including the BDS movement, which is very active on college campuses.

  • Empower students and young adults to be confident and proud advocates for Israel and expose and prevent bias against Israel.

  • Advocate for strong sanctions on the Iranian nuclear program, which presents a real danger to the Jewish state and its allies.

  • Promote Israeli sovereignty in Judea and Samaria.

We are also very proud of our Israel Scholarship Program, an intensive Israel advocacy seminar for high schoolers planning to participate in educational trips to Israel. Over the past few years, ZOA has spent approximately $50,000 helping students afford their trips to Israel.

Too many young adults don’t have the knowledge or confidence to stand up for Israel. College campuses are often hotbeds of anti-Israel sentiment and lies.

Our goal is to create the next generation of advocacy leaders who will defend Israel on campus and into adulthood.
